League of Legends Competitions Head to the BBC | Kotaku UK

The BBC will broadcast two League of Legends competitions this summer.The UK League Championship (UKLC) and Northern League of Legends Championship (NLC) will be available to watch live on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport app, starting this week.
The UKLC started yesterday, June 14, with eight teams competing in qualifiers every Sunday and Monday evening for the next eight weeks, culminating in the Grand Finals in early August, when two teams will advance to the NLC, which features some of the best teams in Northern Europe.That competition, which begins on Tuesday, June 16, features a number of British teams, including academy sides representing the likes of Fnatic and Excel.
This isn’t the first time LoL has made it to the BBC: the 2015 World Championships were broadcast on BBC Three.The BBC has also shown off esports from the likes of FIFA, Rocket League , and Formula E.Tags: .
