BIG partners with cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase

German esports organisation Berlin International Gaming (BIG) has announced a partnership with global cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase.The deal, which is based on creating digital activations through community engagement, will see Coinbase become a partner of BIG’s CS:GO roster.RELATED: BIG expands partnership with OMEN According to the release, the partnership is specifically between BIG and Coinbase’s German department.Alongside the premium partnership of BIG’s CS:GO roster, Coinbase will receive an extensive brand and content rights package.This package will be aimed at raising awareness of Coinbase’s brand and the services they offer.Sascha Rangoonwala, Country Manager for Germany at Coinbase, commented: “Crypto and esports are both industries with a huge amount of potential and are constantly evolving.Partnering with Germany’s leading esports organisation helps us more effectively reach as well as educate digital natives around the benefits and risks of cryptocurrency.” Coinbase is a cryptocurrency exchange where users can buy and sell a number of different cryptocurrencies.

Less than a month ago, the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) awarded Coinbase Germany GmbH a license for crypto custody and training, allowing the company to provide a safe and regulated environment for its German customers.
